Bonnières-sur-Seine, 01/12/2021 – SKYTECH, France’s rising star in the production of premium regenerated plastic resins is delighted to welcome a new member to the company’s Board of Directors, Jean Peyrelevade.

Jean Peyrelevade began his career at the Ministry of Transportation in 1963, joining the Secretariat General for Civil Aviation, where he worked for 10 years on the country’s ambitious program of civil aeronautics construction. In the early 1970s he left the public sector to join Crédit Lyonnais, where he worked on international trade financing (trade and capital goods). In 1981, he was appointed deputy director of Pierre Mauroy’s cabinet, and economic adviser to the prime minister. He then went on to chair some of France’s largest financial institutions: in 1983, he became chairman of both the Compagnie Financière de Suez and Banque Indosuez. Following this, in 1988, he was named chairman of the Union des Assurances de Paris, before assuming chairmanship of Crédit Lyonnais in 1993, a role in which he served for a decade.

In 2004, Jean Peyrelevade moved to the European investment bank, Leonardo & Co., serving as chairman of the board until 2013, then to Degroof Petercam, where he was a managing partner until 2018. Today he works as an independent corporate consultant and is president of the supervisory board for the Société Phocéenne de Participations (Bourbon Group). A long-time professor of economics at France’s prestigious École Polytechnique (1969-1994), Jean Peyrelevade has authored several works on the development of contemporary capitalism.

It’s an honor to be joining the board of SKYTECH, which is at the very forefront of Greentech rising stars in France. SKYTECH is a critical player both for its unique know-how and its determination to assist industrial firms in decarbonizing their activities; it’s a company we will rely for making the ecological transition a reality in the years to come. I am delighted at the opportunity to contribute to its development” shared Jean Peyrelevade.

Arthur Rozen, CEO & Chairman of SKYTECH affirmed: “SKYTECH’s board of directors continues to take shape with the appointment of Jean Peyrelevade, an experienced figure who has much to contribute to our growth and development.”
